“Time Travel” is the concept. If “Indru Netru Naalai” deals with time travel in a comical way, “24” takes it to a serious note. It’s Suriya’s show all the way. Three characters played so easily with elegance and most importantly majestic body language. Surya as “athreya” – the ruthless villain is stylish and mind blowing. Easily the best among the three.
The villain who couldn’t get his hands on the “time travel” watch made by his scientist brother 26 years ago, tries to time travel back after 26 years to get things reversed. The story line is simple . Dialogues are good but could have been better. For instance, there is one dialogue that the hero keeps saying about 20 times. Turns out to be irritating. This could have been seriously avoided. Also Some questions regarding time travel do creep in our minds while watching. Keeping those apart , I don’t see any other major flaws.
Samantha comes in a cute role, but why do directors need a love track separately when they can concentrate on just the main story line. ARR’s songs are magical and the BGM Keeps the energy flowing throughout. But the main problem is that the film falls somewhere between average and awesome because of some stagnating scenes inbetween.
Entertaining watch but could have been much better.
